If the game is getting an M rating for language,  are they gonna go with blood and guts instead of puffs of dust?

Good customizable classes, hopefully it'll be different configuration than both bf2142 and BC2, I want something new.

I'd like to see EU as a faction.

Awww yeah.
As long as DICE remembers EU =/= French accents only (I'm looking at you EU Forces )
Thought they were German accents.

Ah well

If so, they are very, VERY bad german accents

I hate footsteps in this kind of game... it gives people with headsets a HUGE advantage over us "speaker" people

Footsteps are integral. They add realism, just like having different reverberations to the sound gunfire dependant upon what the environment around you is.

I play both speakers and headset, probably a 50/50 split, just depends on how I feel. The advantage is not huge, lol.

Video games are annoying to listen to if you aren't playing. I use speakers to give my ears a break only if nobody else is hanging around.

Neither can I. That's why I use circumaural ones that don't put weight on my ears at all.

I swap. I got a 5.1 headset for when I'm really getting my head in the game and my 5.1 speakers for when I'm more chilled.

Headsets definitely make the difference, though.

If they touch my ears at all... it hurts after an hour

Could be a number of things. Perhaps an unaddressed ear infection, sensitive cartilage or hearing...or more likely the possibility that your ears are somehow the things supporting your headset's weight when it should ideally be the top of your skull. Check that, then make sure your volume's not too loud. Should be just enough to hear what's going on, not to rattle you every time an explosion goes off.

It's the top tip of my ears that hurt from touching the headset...

Sure it may be fixed by buying a more expensive headset than the Siberia I got. Do I want to pay for an expensive headset I would never use anyway? No...

Of course they hurt if they're holding even the partial weight of your headphones. Aren't they adjustable?

See I think (in my opinion, anyway) that's the idea. If you're some 1337-haxor kid who likes to play the game with Winamp roaring then you'll get what's coming to you. I personally enjoy immersing in the game and being able to use things like audio cues to get an advantage. It certainly helped enough while playing Counterstrike (which many people neglected).

because if the 360 or PS3 were the lead version, then it'd be dumbed down and wouldn't be able to take advantage of the full processing power available today
