I play arena flag football(american) just planted on it wrong.  I fractured it in two places and tore the lisfranc ligament.

That's a lesson in why you shouldn't play non-contact sports.

Oh really? I always wondered how flag football handled blocking.

Yeah, blocking on the line and behind the line of scrimmage.  Shadow blocking down field.  Outdoors its all fair game.  I like the arena due to the close walls and dashers.  Its basically playing football on a hockey arena. So much fun.

i think it's a higher risk to injury, playing on that type of turf.

The first metatarsal and one of the cuneiform ones, I think the torn ligament is the worst part.

I've torn ligaments in both my ankles, my right one more than once.  I've never had to have surgery, just rest.  It hurts like a mofo when it happens though.  Looked very similar to yours too.

The torn ligament is the worst part. Bones mend, but that shit will probably always give you problems now. My dad had his bicep torn completely off his elbow. They had to go in and pull it back down, since it was bunched up by his shoulder. Got the use of his hand back, but if he turns it a certain way with an infirm grasp on something, he usually loses his grip and drops it. I think that pisses him off more than anything.

Haven't done anything nearly as bad, but some ligament (I believe) in my left shoulder is preventing me from drawing a bowstring at anything more than 30/40# without it popping painfully. Haven't had it diagnosed yet, but it's irritating as shit shooting right-handed.
