Ah right. Yeah I've always had an interest with firearms and target shooting, its just that the pathway to actually owning a license has been rather unclear.
I actually went to the local pistol club for a while with a few friends and shot .22 rifles on saturday nights. The only thing that drew me away was school.
But as you say, the costs are quite high. Especially for someone who's unemployed, heh.

Aussie, 'tis a motorcycle forum. Fingers crossed bf2s becomes bf3s and we get a huge influx of new members in the coming year.

Basically you need a good reason, membership of a club, and regular shoots, is good reason, as is having access to land over which you can shoot.
A club will be able to help you out with the info.

Yeah theres the local pistol club that I use to go to, and where my brother goes. It was like $5 to shoot off 50 rounds of .22. Dunno if it was mates-rates or what.
