Ah, I see.. that's ok then I had this image of someone attempting to navigate busy street crossings while completely oblivious to trafficCapnNismo wrote:

Oh you don't have to worry about that with me at all.
my shures have nearly killed me a few times... not even in the busy city
drivers just assume that pedestrians can hear them coming when they don't obey the 'rules' of the road, i.e. giving pedestrians their right-of-way, etc. i've stepped out across a crossing and crossed small side-streets without looking plenty of times with my earphones in and nearly got smashed. same in slow-environments, too, like carparks or on uni campus... even though there are clearly a lot of people on foot, some drivers just don't realise that you literally can't hear their engine at all

hah, guess that's a testament to how well they isolate noise then, huh?
Stay away from the Beats. They're the only ones I've tried out of the list, and they sucked massive cojones. Very little sound definition, just like standard apple earbuds but with more amplification in the lower ranges.
I like pie.
But isn't that what the average consumer wants?TSI wrote:

... shame really..
Question. How comfortable are the shures? I'm in the market as well, and comfort is a big factor for me.
is good price? no

And some pedestrians don't realise that you literally can't see all kinds of earplugs ... eye-contact between drivers and pedestrians is easy and life savingUzique wrote:

Had the same ones, liked then except the entire earpiece fell apart after a year and a half of moderate useKmar wrote:

Got the S4's yesterday and they are awesome! Still need to do this "burn in", but after playing with the equalizer and selecting the right tips... holy shit, talk about clarity.
