Eh. The things that have caused 'controversy' on Top Gear in the past were just simple little quips, not a full 2 minute tirade against a whole nationality. I don't think they should be punished for it or anything, but I do think they took it a little bit too far. I was laughing rather hard at all those comments. But I do love mexican food.... Nope still gonna watch TopGear cuz it's the best show on TV.

There have been a few points in the shows history where its obviously scripted, and the presenters act like idiots just to get a few cheap laughs.
Example: Series 11, where they race across Japan. Hammond tries to pronounce Nokogiri Yama and gets stuck up on it for 10 seconds. But my guess would be that its aimed at the younger audience (read: 12 year olds) of TG, rather than the gearheads.
Needless to say, the show does still have a few good bits.
