sucks too, it got cancelled last week once because of snow as well. i'm forgetting all the spanish i learned last semester
first thing i do when i leave full-time education is enrol in a part-time french class
been thinking real seriously lately about relocating to paris or thereabouts for a few years after i graduate... spend my young adulthood soaking up another culture and another perspective
If you do go to France, try not spend to much time in a big city like paris. It's fun and all, don't get me wrong. But in a big city like that, no matter how well you know the language, you will always feel like a tourist. There's too many of those around. Really soaking up the culture is about the people. Archictecture and such (what people come to see in big cities) is the type of culture you wanna see in a week or so, you should really try and go to some small town/villages.
im studying french literature for my master's, possibly too towards research for a future PhD
i want to go to paris because of the education and institutions there... the sorbonne, mainly
also the art galleries... not only the tourist ones
the idea is to spend a few years in the deep shit, not spending my prime adulthood in a nowhereville village in normandy
