the Bible is not a work of science, it is a book of love to his people, which demonstrates morals and some other stuff. what is there to question?
The Bible contains much more than simply a story of a god and love for his people, almost everything written in there can be questioned.
you can't read the bible word for word literally.

what world do you live in?
obviously, in a world where everyone isn't truly religious. all these wars 'caused' by religion, weren't caused by religion, because if the groups of people in those wars actually followed their own religion, they would realize that what they are doing is against their own religion.
have you read the bible?
yeah. God grants mercy to those who seek it, not to those who continue to sin.

sodom and gomorra is a pretty literal story, do we skip over it or?
nope.

If you examine the Old Testament passages in which God outlines the sins which would merit the death penalty under the Mosaic Law (Lev. 20:27, 24:10-23; Deut. 13:5-10, 21:18-21, 22:21-24), you'll see that homosexuality was condemned alongside such crimes as murder, idolatry, and blasphemy (Lev. 20:13).

There is quite a bit to be discussed about religion in general.
Tim Maroney wrote a pretty biting piece on usenet years back...I don't post this as an attack, but rather to show that there is much to question.
