smoke another one because you are smart.
Played through Dead Space 2 today... (yes all 10 hours of it)
6.5/10
I really hate how Visceral makes endings... slap in an undefeatable enemy to force you along, make it so hard to get through the masses of enemies that you will die ~10 times by said immortal enemy before you finally get to the end of the end...
Spoiler (highlight to read):
I feared the moment that regenerating motherfucker would return all the way since Ishimura, and boy was I right to be fearfull..

Dead Space just didn't do it for me as a 'scary game.'
Alien Swarm - 8/10 with buddies. The difficulty levels make an immense amount of difference in challenge, and switching friendly fire to hardcore drastically changes coop gameplay. Also, free is lovely.
Worms Reloaded - 7/10 once you figure shit out. I still prefer the 'qbasic bananas' approach, where you're allowed to type in angle and velocity before throwing.
Magicka - 7/10. I love the mechanics, but I don't like the multiplayer glitchiness. I'm not going to knock it down because of that, because Paradox are machine-gunning patches at us.
Company of Heroes (and expansions) - 10/10. One of the best examples, aside from Starcraft, for how a RTS should be. They did a great job with balancing graphics and playability. There's room for improvement in a sequel (traffic's god-awful and infantry don't really run to the best cover), but there you go.

I started playing Penny Arcade Adventures: Precipice of Darkness Episode 1.
A nice mix of point-and-click adventure and turn-based action game.
Also, the anachronistic feeling the game gives me is nice: Set in the 1920s, mixed with today's philosophy and internet memes.
8/10
Edit:
Also, there's a -75% weekend deal on Steam for both episodes for €2.99 still going for a few hours:

Avencast - 6/10
Having to memorize attack combos wouldn't be so bad if the keys required didn't make me run in their specified directions, and this game wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to SEARCH GOOGLE for information on how to loot bodies...AND FIND NO ANSWER. Other than that, the game's alright.
e: The puzzles are reprehensible and devoid of reasonable clues.

Please, Diablo 3...COME OUT!

So many plot holes, sometimes horrible controls, graphically poor. Was fun enough ie not massively frustrating.
