You'll find this article interesting...  Apparently, it's useful...for a time.
As with most scientific studies, I'd wait for several to confirm that it actually has a significant function.  There are quite a few saying it has little to no use and even more showing that it has an overall negative effect.  Also, an "intelligent designer" wouldnt make something that had a small function for 1% of life and then becomes a serious problem for the rest of life.

Because of modern science, which has screwed up the evolutionary process. If people with appendicitis were left to die, like they should, eventually they're genes would leave the gene pool and babies would start being born without and appendix.
And doesnt that support evolution...?  That natural selection acts on the population to remove negative aspects, therefore taking out the whole "not-so-intelligent designer" out of the equation.  And it takes hundreds of thousands of years for something like that to happen, not likely we'd see something that significant happen anytime soon

It's less tl;dr and more "I know this shit already" for the vast majority of people on bf2s

Except for Shifty. They teach this shit at school, Shifty isn't being religious by saying stupid things, he's just being a dumbass, and if he never bothered to learn it at school because it conflicts with his own views, then he's an ignorant dumbass.

Ridiculous.
He's borrowing heavily from the dark side of eugenics but the logic is pretty sound.
It really sounds like this person is linking appendicitis to some genetic cause.  Having an appendix does not guarantee appendicitis, but it is true that one needs to have an appendix to get the condition.  But that brings me to my next point--the incidence of appecidicitis is only 1 in 400.  That's hardly a 'selection force' selecting against having an appendix.

Of course, for this evolutionary stage to occur, there must be a genetic mutation that completely removes the appendix which would also provide a significant boost to survivability for it to become the norm (and with a 1 in 400 incidence rate, and I don't know what the lethality is if untreated, but you can see where I'm going).  I'm not saying it can't happen, but as worded, it's ridiculous.  More likely would be a genetic 'resistance' to inflammation of the appendix.  Less prone to blockage, better immune system, etc... are far more probable than removing an organ structure entirely.  That's assuming appendicitis were some significant selection force.

Edit: I guess I should say I'm thinking on timescales based on how long man has existed so far.

No. There is no destiny. There is no fate. Mutations occur randomly due to radiation exposure and other causes. They are not predestined to occur. Now, like I said, feel free to chalk those mutations up to the will of your god. At least then you'll be halfway correct instead of wholly wrong.
Ok, so for the sake of argument "destiny" is poor choice of words in the evolutionary cycle.  However, there is an end result not governed by the individual, but by the evolutionary system, yes?
How is a completely random system of pure chance in any way a control system? Randomness is not control, it's the complete opposite.

They aren't antagonists. The big bang does not disprove God. Its just that when he said "And let there the light" and hit the switch, there was a really  big bang.
You realise that the Bible states God said let there be light after he had created the Heavens and the Earth?

If you would study the book of Genesis you might figure that out. Man fked that up, not God. If you'll look into it you'll also find out why man could live so long, why there's several continents instead of a Pangaea, and just generally why Earth is the way it is.

Shifty is right on this point. Science is completely stumped as to what happened before the big bang. We are supposed to accept that there is no "before" the big bang, because theoretically time didn't exist before the big bang. That's about as hard to prove as the existence of God. Maybe even harder...

Well here's the thing guys, tonight I have Bible study so you can expect a veryyyyyy long reply to dayarath's TL:DR text (No, I did read it).
