FIA recently confirmed the entry list for the 2011 World Rally Championship.

See wiki for an easy run down. Raikkonen is in with his own team (Ice1 racing) and so is Solberg

New cars for 2011, based around the S2000 cars so they're smaller (think Ford Fiesta instead of Focus) and they're 1.6L, but they're turbos and 4WD with better bodykits than the S2000 cars

The cars are looking awesome this season. They've got the wide wheel arch bodykits and everything.

What is Ken Block doing there? Is he actually going to try real Rally instead of his regular Stunt Driving routine?

Apparently it was always his dream to race in WRC. He has done racing before, check out his wiki. He's won stuff too. He raced in some rallies last season, I think he might do every race this season. He's good enough to be there

You still see some Subaru's and shit in the PWRC category, but the glory days of full factory teams running in the proper WRC competition is days gone by. And then you have Loeb dominating shit. Hopefully WRC has seen its worse days gone by now

Solberg was caught speeding inbetween the special stages, he was charged under Swedish law and banned temporarily from driving for 48 hours. So he couldn't take part in last bit of the rally. So his co-driver did it

It was the first time he had ever driven a rally, let alone a snow/ice stage. Solberg was just telling him to keep it slow and steady.

The coverage was pretty poor for this rally, managed to watch some highlights on motors.tv though

LOL that is great. And ya it was, they said that it was so cold that their cameras were freezing. Oh well, hoping Block starts to get better as the season goes on.
