dude, i grew up in california and believe me - the 49er's couldn't give tickets away until after they won their first super bowl. the Raiders had won in '83 and the bandwagoners' thought the first win was a fluke. ever been to Candlestick? neither had the 49er fan, til halfway through their second SB run . . .
I deleted post earlier 'cause I re-read you're post and got it. I hated the Niners too, fucking Dwight Clarke made me cry when I was 8. They had a hell of a 20 year run.
the 49ers and Raiders played a pre-season game every year until after their 3rd SB. the 49ers didn't want to anymore because they thought the Raiders D was headhunting them.
Ronnie Lott, when he signed with the Raiders admitted they were, lol

I have seen a game a Candlestick. I think it was 1998 or so. A Monday night game against Detroit. Garrison Hearst ran for @ 200 yds. Boring fucking game though. Endzone seats were garbage.
RIP Candlestick - it was the coolest (okay, in california anyways) coldest place to see a baseball game. for football it sucked donkey dick.
was pretty sick for earthquakes too
lolz

that's off topic, so all i'll say about the Bay Bridge series - the giants should've won that one too. fucking roiding bash bro's, i'm glad they only won the one . . .Poseidon wrote:

heh, anyways i think regardless of who makes the SB this year, the game should be ok and the commercials better . . .
He definitely has room for improvement, but he was definitely a good pick for us. We didn't really have good quarterbacks and Griese was getting old.ghettoperson wrote:

of the 4 teams, the packers are probably the easiest to root for. no favre, rodgers is quite humble and an incredible athlete (probably my favorite player in the NFL right now), great fans
jay cutler's a whiny bitch
the jets talk a lot of shit (although so far they've backed it up)
ben rapelisberger is a rapelisberger
so yeah
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
I'm hoping Green Bay over the Jets. Actually, anybody but the Steelers.

I almost feel like the NFL is puling for the Jets to win the SB. The Jets-Pats game was the most viewed in divisional playoff game history.
Jays has got a Jeff George calibre arm, but also has the head too.
