Been trying to find the site that sells 20' instrument cables at $2,000 each. 99.99% silver core.

In doing so I came across this article. Read to the bottom, it's kinda funny - http://most-expensive.net/audio-cables

Is there really any noticeable difference though?

Reason I ask is a mate used to have a job installing car stereos, for about 6 years. In that time he learned a LOT about the trade, and when installing mine (which was although decent Pioneer gear, it was second hand) he told me that he read about some magazine that did some listening tests with some of the best sound engineers in New York. They could not tell the difference in quality between a $1,000 system and a $15,000 system of the same wattage and speaker setup and eq.

So a lot of it is wank, IMO. Unless you want a lot of headroom at high volume.
wow what a fucking retarded piece of logic

$1,000-$15,000 is all pretty 'high end', as far as casual consumer audio equipment goes

the difference between an entry-level $20 set of earbuds and some properly designed mid-range ones is far more noticeable.

lucien... what makes you think they'll last 2 years at least? i used my shures every day and have got through about 3 pairs in 2 years

Settle petal, are you craving some coke or something? Maybe smoke a spliff and chill brah.

$1,000 for a car stereo is mid-range. Considering some people spend $20,000+ that would be definitely high-end.

As for earbuds, I was simply posing a question. No need to get your knickers in a knot.

From Nismos friends website, the quality is genuinely impressive and I can pretty much guarantee no other fucker will have one   I'm glad I took the risk ordering before it was even made, saved a decent bit of cash and got it very quickly after it did go into production.

Plus I like supporting start-ups, it ain't easy and this guy is definitely putting the effort in, I've worn stuff 5 times the price of this that's not been made this well, and it's just a hoody, Christ knows what the expensive stuff is like

why is everyone so fucking ga-ga about those fischer audio's now?

there are tons of other perfectly acceptable in-ear buds. people getting all horny for the limited-production fischer's is a fucking joke

just go get some new earphones and stop being a pretentious dicknozzle
Some people can't afford more expensive earbuds but want just as good quality from them. In come the Fischer Audios, which deliver that.

Now, I agree with you that waiting on pre-order is ridiculous as they come in poor batch sizes and are gone in under 2 hours, but if he wants to wait then he wants to wait. I have a pair of them lying about somewhere, but never really found the use for them due to already having W2's.

Also, I have no idea what you do to your Shure's, but I've had my W2's for over a year now and they've not even shown signs of wear and tear...

Only if you buy expensive earphones in the first place. If the only thing you've listened to music though is a £30 pair of sennheisers, then what have you got to compare it to?

IEMs or In Ear Monitors are completely different to standard earphones, hence its worth calling them that.
I have a pair of sennheiser HD595 on my PC and a decent soundcard so yes I have a baseline to compare it to, but that's a dumb suggestion in the first place camm. You can only appreciate good earphones if you have used good earphones? Seriously what the fuck

An audio-phobe perhaps?

I've never been able to justify such a measurable difference between normal headphones and "good" ones to justify the difference in price. If it was so much better that I was missing out on good music because of my listening quality, I'd spring for them (probably not in actuality).

Not buying it to gain weight, although it does help a little, main function is to help when I'm working out and it has.

As others have said, try the gallon of milk a day if you struggle gaining weight, I've found eating a 200g pack of peanuts every other day or so has helped, they have like 1300 calories in the packet.
