BF2S Forums Changing BF2.exe to bf22.exe or Priotory?

That is extemely odd, are you sure it is caused by the name because that is illogical. It's only a name and since the program access all the game files and not the game files that access the program, it should work perfectly.

I guess you can name it back or you can name it to bf21 to see if that fixes it.

When you make this change to the exe you have to delete the shader optimizations and let the game reconfigure them for you. That should correct alot of the corrupt graphics isssues. The folder is located in
*My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache* delete (or move to another location) all of the sub folders there.
When you open bf2 it will optomize the shaders on the next map load. I tried this method but I was not pleased with the results mainly because there were graphics artifacts in places I had not experienced them before. If you don't like the tweak I recommend keeping a copy of that folders contents so you can just put the files back and rename the bf2 exe to its original name, this will same you from having to optomize the shaders again since the info is in those files.
