One of my housemates said all the trains are on "emergency mode" and that all gates are open and no fare required. My work is in one of the suburbs they expect to flood. Low lying and near the river (New Farm). The other place is already flooded in (Deception Bay), and where my third job is they're telling people to evacuate the entire suburb (Strathpine).

Picked up my ex whilst out getting a mate nearby who's street is flooding, she works on the river at Eagle Street Pier. Whole place is going under right now, they've sandbagged up the doors but they reckon it may not be enough.

Rain started up again. Tomorrow is meant to be the peak of the flood. A restaurant I went to a couple months ago looks like it will be literally sunk overnight, as it's built on the river.

Some of the footage is pretty dire. Whole entire houses being washed away, cars, etc. I'm just very fortunate the most it's directly affected me so far is stopping me from going to work.
