There is a giant flaming testicle downtown, so I thought I'd reciprocate. And Facepalm Field! Perfect name. I'm going to have to put that smile in there somewhere. Still have to put in stands and graded borders.

The game as it's written isn't bad. People flying around at great speeds in any weather conditions against people and objects who want to injure, maim and possibly kill them is an awesome concept. People running around with a wooden schlong in one hand and a soccer ball in the other are not.

E: Fixed. The strikethrough tags interrupted by code tags cause quote pyramids to fuck up royally. It was moving morpheus's post-in-quote out of the box.

Played survival mode for about a day (in game day) - I watched some tutorials, made some tools and carved out a small bunker with torches and shit. Fought some monsters at night.

I don't get it though, then what do you do? Where's the progression? I don't get it.

If you think about the progression too much, you'll realize the whole thing is pointless and is a MASSIVE timesink. That said, if you're quite happy to build some nice things and explore a bit, it's fun. No different from the Sims really; think too far ahead and it all comes unglued.

Pretty much. All you have to do to beat minecraft is box yourself in a 2x1 hole with a roof and a torch, if you want. Leave the keyboard and go eat pie. Beyond that is all creativity and/or exploring tunnels.

Try this:

1. Hard mode.
2. Wood->Stone/Coal->Steel->Diamond->Water+Lava Pools = Massive Obsidian
3. Open a gate to the netherworld with an obsidian portal. Build an obsidian shelter and mock ghasts from the comfort of your hellish home.

Tazz, it seems that Nether materials are exempt from the destroy/build limitation, since I could destroy one glow stone (and gained glow dust) as well as soul sand (and could replace it).
