Well I passed on Metro (still 40+ hours to buy it if I change my mind). Just Cause 2 looks fun, so I'll be busy with that, along with dozens of other games I haven't finished yet.

And downloading those trailers has been the most tedious freebie objective yet

Oh and I was pleasantly surprised to see a Beat Hazard objective already unlocked

Also it kinda' made me smile how they kept saying it was a new experience all the way through the Homefront trailer... To me everything they shoved made it seem like a copy of BC2

doesnt help that the story is more unlikely to happen than crysis

It actually isn't any sillier than Red Dawn. The premise is that NK unites with SK, annexes a ton of Pacific-region nations and becomes a great power while the US economy collapses due to massive oil prices, corruption, political strife and a huge reduction in military size.

Of course, we could still probably just lob nukes at Korea from submarines even in such a circumstance, but I'm willing to set that aside in favor of a game where I don't have to kill Russians in the snow or some faceless wonder of an Arab power in some dusty city.

I hope the game has something about the Koreans standing over a seized Blizzard Entertainment facility for a happy group photo.

You're absolutely right, and the same applies to JC1 and FC2. All you really have is your ability to faff around.

Pretty much, but it wouldn't have hurt to have some characters and consequences you'd give a shit about.

To get the original one, yes.

This new one is given to everyone over issues the original caused.

The one good thing about this treasure hunt is now I actually have a reason to try out Metro 2033 before I was scheduled to actually do so.

I haven't played it yet, but I was always under the impression that it was mainly meant for goofing off and not much else.

Yeh, if you cant have fun playing a game then they arent for you.

Just Cause 2 freezes after two minutes of play on my PC. Not fun. Trying to find a solution at the mo'.

Edit: Figured it out. Turns out my GPU had dust insulation... Managed to clean it up before the fan motor burned out. Seems to be running well enough now.
