Has anyone done this yet? I struggled to get 10 for my vet badge
it is hard but i got 27 iar once on shaquri a very stubborn spec ops on the other team kept blowing em um so i hopped i a vechile and stood next to the arty and it reapirs it so much faster
Yeah did 10,
but i also think you need a lot of luck to get those 25.
Some SF destroying commander toys all the time and vehicles get damaged a lot and not destroyed just around you in a very long match. With all these ingredients it would be possible

I posted how I did this before on here. It's on some medic badge thread and someone asked about repair in the same thread. Basically just sit in a humvee and follow the APCs and tank around Karkand repairing them. If your humvee gets hit, press F3 and repair your humvee. 64 player Karkand with 5-6 players on each team is perfect. It's nothing but one big armor battle that lasts a couple of hours so long as the US has at least one flag to stop the ticket bleed and they don't take the factory.
*Edit* It's a lot easier when you have friends on teamspeak that are in that armor so they spawn as support and let you get the repairs.

I havent tried it yet.. dont really wanna try it..but I think ur best bet would be to find a 16 slot 64 man server and get into a APC or tank and have some1 else in the APC or tank, drive around together and repair each other might work, cuz 16 slot 64 server karkand maps usually take sooooooo longAchtAcht wrote:

Warlord or Ghost Town are good for repairing assets. I managed to get 17 Repair Points IAR on Ghost from a Spec Ops blowing up assets and a few team vehicle repairs. For Vet i drove around in a Buggy on Daqing repairing Tanks/AA and Assets, i worked my ass off on that one.
Don't know if it's true or not but i heard EA is lowering the requirments for Expert Repair with 1.3? But don't quote me on it.

I got my vet. on ghost town pretty eazy got it after my first try
I got 17 iar on Warlord as SAS. It helps if you tell the commander to save his supplies for the guys fighting and not putting them on his toys. The AIL Raider is your best friend on that map. Dune Buggy or HUMV is great in other maps. You need a 64 player server that is not full because it takes so long. Also you need very stubborn Spec Ops guys to continously blow up the commander's assests. When your not repairing assests. Find your team's armor vehicles and repair them. Remember TOW launchers can also give repair points if someone is in them whenyou crank the wrench. Same for AA launchers on other maps.
10-4 to all of the above posts.
I thought getting 5 was hard for basic and then I rode around on Karkand the other day side-by-side with another APC (both engineers) and got 8 without trying. I would definitely opine that the ONLY way you can get your serious repair on is by what some might call vehicle whoring. I think you can quiet the vehicle whoring haters by performing some additional support tasks in the process.
My suggestion: It's easy to get some serious transport time and miscellaneous infantry kills while reaping in the repair points as an engineer. Try following around tanks and APC's on Ghost Town in a desert-raider (as long as the opposing team doesn't have a good chopper pilot).
Nice thread though. Makes me feel better that others respect the difficulty of the engineer repair.

I did it after a bunch of tries, and got no badge
repair anything and everything. I followed the chopper to a flag and repaired it. Advice: Get a friend to hop in a vehicle with you as engineer, the double repair rate on all nearby friendlies will keep them alive and the points rolling in

I always play on a 50-64 person server, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get more than 15 repair points in a round. I think the only easy answer is the 16 person server with 64 person maps. But, some would consider that stat padding. *shrug*
I got mine repairing my command assets on Ghost town while commanding.I was in an APC the whole time because there was like 4 of em in my main at all times. It was a 300 ticket map with only like 16 players of a 18 player limit wich gave me just enough time with 3 tickets to spare.
It is possible, but the conditions have to be right to pull it off.

I have the veteran repair badge. getting the expert seems almost impossimble for me right now.
>>>BF3 Central<<<
getting the expert seems impossible? getting the vet is just as impossible. there's just no way one can repair that much..in a typical round, unless it's HIGHLY unbalanced teams..
I also thought so at first. The conditions have to be right for it to happend but you`ll get it - i`m sure :-)Nikola Bathory wrote:

I thought the same as you when I was going for my Vet Repair Badge, but then I got it, on Operation Clean Sweep of all places on the USMC side at that.MURcarnage wrote:

It's not impossible. It can be done in a variety of ways on a variety of maps. Warlord and Sharqi are the best. SAS is easier than Insurgent on Warlord, and MEC easier than USMC on Sharqi. You have to have Spec Ops guys who continously blow up the commander's assets. (It helps a lot) You have to have a vehcile for mobility, faster repairs, and self protection.
Here's what you have to do to ensure you get the repair points.
1. Be an Engineer the entire round.
2. Make a custom squad and let your commander know your an engineer
3. Tell your commander not to use supplies on his assets. Remind him repeatedly.
4. Grab a Vehicle. I prefer an APC. Fast enough to get to armored battles, strong enough to survive. You can hut the spec ops guys down and kill them.
5. When not at your main base repairing stuff, find friendly armor and stick with them. (let them do the fighting while you cover the back and repair them)
This should get you 10 pts in a round easily. I usually get 10+ when doing the above along with 10+kills.
The number of people in the server and the choice of classes can affect how you do. Look for 64 player servers that are half full or less. Longer rounds increase opportunity for repair points. Consider taunting the other side to blow up stuff and let them before killing them to get repair points.
