Solid episode.
Damn that was a good episode!
Spoiler (highlight to read):
The part where Jim says goodbye to everybody is so sad. I feel bad for that poor fellow.
What I love about this series is how unpredictable it is; at least the main storyline, little things are more predictable of course. I can't imagine what's going to happen next. Does anybody have a whim of what ep.6 will show us?

Watched a documentary about it back in HS and that's a pretty amazing place. Even diseases that have been eradicated, they have cultures kept "on file" just in case it ever manages to somehow pop up again in one form or another and obviously for experimentation. Like 6 levels or something, everything from the common cold to ebola.
Pretty sure they've got smallpox as well.

Did it look to anyone else like the acid stuff burned through both of his gloves? Like he might get infected too?

I don't think he's infected. The acid got him not the infected material.

Could that be why he said he was going to blow his brains out the next night?
What I find very unplausible and quite annoying is the fact these police officers and other civilians have survived but the military which has tanks, HMMWVs (vehicles the dead cannot get into) and a large array of weapons gets overrun.

I think it was because he had lost his samples and his reason for being in the lab. If he couldn't find a cure, there was no point him living because he thought he could be the only one alive, I took it as.
And I agree about the military, do they have so little discipline that they exit their vehicles? Or did they get caught by hunger or w/e?

Well, it's not just the vehicles. They had sandbag emplacements around critical locations. Those locations are presumably not infected. Their .50 cals would tear through any horde, not to mention their M16A4s, M4s, M249s, M240s, etc would make quick work of a large horde.PrivateVendetta wrote:

I know you have to headshot them to kill them, but would hitting them anywhere else slow them down?

Shit sorry. Literally just remembered about the delay when I saw a reply to the thread.
My bad.
My bad.
series is getting shitty, anyway
contrived, over-written, stupid themes... it's all a bit cliche and pastiche

I wish I had the money for L4D2. I actually have enough, but I can't spare it as I need to save. That game looks so much more fun than L4D.

is the ever-so-subtle covering of race relations and gender politics just a celebration of the show's immense depth and complexity for you?
because i find it condescending and fucking irritating

the difference is that i'm an annoying cunt on an internet forum and not a tv series proclaiming myself to be the most engaging, well-written drama of the last year.
