tried and done. mr. muscle, plung'd, the lot. also tried to remove the sump filter on our washing machine to check it wasn't blocked with fluff.
without being a plumber, i can deduce that the problem is further down the piping... where the sink and washing-machine join...
there's a U-bend that is clearly blocked and is shafting both of them
