I almost agree but the Zeta part.. too linear and too many collectibles <- they need to ban the latter, devs really think it adds value to game play.Poseidon wrote:
FO3's DLC wasn't bad. The Pitt sucked, Anchorage tried too hard to be an FPS (but had sick loot), Broken Steel was pretty good, Point Lookout was solid and Mothership Zeta was decent.
Samurai armour/sword ftw

I only used the unique heavy weapons.
Lincoln repeater ftw etc

already a budget title
You gotta be pretty dumb to not realize how a sale works.
I just like the fact that it was so "out there" (no pun intended). Being abducted and walking in space? In a Fallout game? Having a Cowboy and a Samurai helping you out was pretty sick too.Chou wrote:

The collectables were definitely a bitch though.
Well...33 hours into the game and doing pretty well, avoiding the main storyline and exploring like I usually do; and suddenly every single fucking save file is corrupted. Can't be loaded, just tells me that it needs some non-existent DLC and then that the storage drive no longer exists. You'd think some itty-bitty game breaking bug like this might have been discovered and worked out in testing. Especially since it seems to happen to something like 3/4 of the PC and 360 games.
Well, seeing as my disk is now effectively a useless piece of plastic, I might take it out to the range tomorrow and use it as a target.

When a game drops 25 bucks on retail in such a short time, I'd call it a budget title for new consumers.Doctor Strangelove wrote:

Should have been from the start anyway.
You should consider patching the game once in a while if you haven't..mcgid1 wrote:

They fixed the courier transfer system causing this in the first patch...

You just want it to be a budget title. Also FO3 was awful.

Played a few hours of this quite good so far it's nice they've got quite a decent tutorial for those who haven't played FO3. I would say it feels like FO3(1.5) if that makes any sense. It seems like they've seen the flaws in the previous Fallout and decide to improve on most of them.
Overall it is a major improvement although it does lack the charm of FO3. It also seems as though you can't make your character some sort of God like in the previous game which is definitely a plus does seem alot more challenging too. I do miss the sort of mad max style raiders of the previous though!

The Road Warrior-esque raiders are in, but only in the Vegas outskirts. They're called "Fiends" now, but they are similar to the FO3 raiders.wah1188 wrote:

There are several Raider bands around the wasteland... the Fiends are just the biggest group..one of the others are Jackals...

Mine's on the 360, and I have the most recent patch that's been released through xbox live. I'm pretty sure this one is different from the courier system bug anyways, seeing as I never acutally used the system.FloppY_ wrote:
