Are you South Korean? I've got a niece there, married to a South Korean. South Koreans are some of the biggest mainland Asians around. Most well fed. The soldiers are just as physically capable as American Soldiers. Contrast with North Korean soldiers. Small and skinny as shit, regardless of food ration priority. And NK does not have the food supplies necessary for a prolonged conflict. Tthe vast majority do not want a conflict. Fear and starvation is what keeps them in line. Yes, just by sheer numbers and military might, NK can overwhelm SK, but that is what the US is for.
What's tempering the SK response is the fact that SK actually cares for the NK civilian population. Family blood in NK. Plus any war would seriously cripple the strong SK economy. Samsung, LG...
