I'm done with fallout new vegas as of tonight. Need a new console game to play for an hour or so on weekdays.

Is that new need for speed any good?

Oh, one more thing, I was thinking how awesome it would be if they started using 80s synthesizers in soundtracks these days. C'mon, no more of this Hans bombastic Zimmer shit. I want my Inception to have crazy cheesy synths to it.

Fortunately I had that roommate for only one quarter (~10 weeks). Earplugs with a pillow wrapped around my head still could not muffle that snore. I was so stressed out that quarter.

It's usually not this bad. Guess tonight's just not his lungs' night.

Maybe if he didn't smoke hookah 3-4 times a week he wouldn't have such shitty lungs. I shit you not, he's done hookah at least 50 times since he's gotten to America. That was 2 months ago.

Good guy...needs to lay off the hose.

Why do TV-networks insist on making their own versions of good shows and turning them into shit? The Office is so far (from the shows I've seen) the only programme that has a working U.S-version. Before you think I'm bashing America, take a look at Pimp My Ride UK. What the shit, man? Top Gear AUS and USA, why? There's a different range of cars in different continents, I know this, but I'm sure most people don't look at Top Gear because "they're reviewing that car I've been thinking of buying, I'll decide after their fair and balanced look at it".

So what's Life on Mars like? What was wrong with the UK version that ABC needed to make their own?

I can see Top Gear AUS and USA since the car markets are actually different; but I'm with you, I hate that practice.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the already taped show instead of hiring Harvey Keitel?

Life on Mars is a pretty good show tbh.

Top Gear fails in that they drive a $600,000 pound car and then recommend it to the average viewer who won't make that much money in a decade.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the function of Top Gear not to review cars that the everyman could buy, but to entertain the viewer as much as possible? If I want a review of my Astra 1.6l, I'll look it up on the Internet. If I want to see a review of an Astra VXR 250bhp, then I'll watch Clarkson shred it through a track and complain about understeer for an hour, after which I want to see the car explode.

I can imagine that watching other versions of Top Gear is like watching Fifth Gear, or a Soviet version of Mickey Mouse. Or playing with Playmobil instead of Legos. Having Catsup instead of Ketchup. Wearing Abibas shoes and an Olrex watch.

Naw they just pay a royalty to the original creator and make more mulla per rating.

but yeah its fucking stupid that they do that... worst is top gear USA and AUS... Brit version is done the best tbh.
