Yeah, everytime I saw Trial on TV (when it was still on Eurosport), I was glued to the screen. This was back in the days of Dougie Lampkin and Tommi Ahvala, though. Now Eurosport seems to only show snooker.

This is from last Sunday, I finished 19th / 30. Gotta go faster! It's race day jitters, once the competition was over and freeriding started, I rode a top 10 time, I'm sure. It is what it is though. Because of my slow cornering in two corners, I lost 5 seconds and can only blame myself. It's all between the ears.

I agree that it's not the smartest thing in the world to do, but on the other hand:

- No pedestrians or crossing lanes with cars coming out to run into
- Speeds at the same level of traffic going in the same direction
- Knowing one of them, they probably had the best safety gear on and reflective clothing + possible flashlight headbands
- Night time has least traffic
- Tunnel was lit
- None of the guys are exactly amateurs

I would do it under the exact same conditions, if I were to bomb a freeway hill. They did it when it was safest possible for all.

They were in the fast lane at 90kph, when the speed limit on either side of the tunnel is 100 or 110kph IIRC.
Pretty dumb to be in the fast lane, where are cars and trucks supposed to go?

They brake and stay behind the boarders. With the exception of some fuckwads. Mostly when going down small hills in the town centre at maybe 30, max 40kph, the cars have always stayed behind me until I show them it's OK to pass. And always smiling faces in the car when they pass.

With the exception of one fuckwad who tried deliberately to pin me between him and a parked car.

Looks like they had a friend driving a "safety car" behind them. I'm guessing, of course.

Whatever, they shouldn't be blocking the fast lane, that blocks the whole motorway, thats beyond stupid 'safety car' or not.
Blocking the outside lane is an offence by itself.

Really skateboarding on an active motorway with a history of severe accidents in exactly that area is beyond stupid.
