The issue wasn't a aggregation of how "harmful" the drugs were, it was chemical toxicity (as said so yourself), and so you should marginalize any difference in psychological dependence.

With that said, while I was likely wrong in claiming that MDMA is substantially more dangerous to a healthy brain than weed, your counterclaim that "mdma is less chemically toxic to your brain than thc" is clearly incorrect as well.

I'm not a stoner, hence I'm not arguing from the perspective the drug is being used several times a week. I can't say because I don't have the experience, but as many pot smokers here have said, it's easy to smoke casually (once a week) if you have self-control.

look dude i am of the opinion that any drug you take for a long enough and sustained time will fuck you up, period

it unbalances your bodies natural chemistry and jacks your brain. it's that simple.

take drugs 'recreationally' every few months or so, sure.... get blazed off your face everyday, i wouldn't recommend it

whether you want to admit it or not, getting high every day ruins your head

Uzique's right. Anything you take into your body that causes a chamical imbalance will effect you negitively in some way.

There are tons of studies that show the negative effects of marijuana Hell there are studies that show the negative effects of lots of things. Certainly marijuana couldn't have slipped throug that roadblock un-noticed.

Not that I think there needs to be "a link to a study", I speak from experience. A dude I knew had problems with addiction and he smoked a lot of pot. Completely fucked his short term memory. It was a shame because he's essentially a good dude but smoking as much weed as he did ruined him. He lost his wife and his kids. This story isn't unique either.

I'm not against marijuana smoking, I've done it myself. It's certainly not something I wold engage in regularly though and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either.

Do people really believe that marijuana has no negative effects? Do they really believe that injesting a chemical that alters your mental state can only effect you positively? Get real.
