Long life, painful death
Short life, quick death.
Fuck living into my 70s and having to get everyone to wait on me, unable to get myself in and out of bed without experiencing mass amounts of pain and difficulty.
Death at about 60 would do me fine, while I can still get myself to the toilet to shit in dignity, thanks.

depends
Depends on the painful death.
Fine.
Painful death: slowly having each of your digits (fingers and toes) cut off, all while being kept from dying of blood loss. Then having your skin scraped off and then having lemon juice poured onto those wounds, then being left to die of infection/shock/hunger/whatever
Short life: You don't make it past 35... maybe 40. But you die in your sleep.

I don't like the idea of dying in my sleep. I rather see it coming.
Isn't living a long life having a slow and painful death in and of itself?
Whoa. /mindblown

Pretty shitty choices. Not be around to watch my kids grow up or suffer ridiculous agony. I chose a short life and painful death but on second thought I'd probably take the pain in order to watch the kids.

Meh, Long life tbh, better to be ready to go, than go before you are ready...
If you know what I mean...

This. I want to see my great grandchildren, regardless of the pain. Give me a long and horrific death at age 110. I'll take it to dieing at 35 (I'd be dead already.).JohnG@lt wrote:

Once you have a kid you're already dead.

Pfft, that thought changes once you actually have one. I live for them now. As much as I love my wife, I would save my kids first.Macbeth wrote:

Life is pretty pointless without kids. Why save money or invest if not for them? To leave my money to the government? Might as well live paycheck to paycheck and die in poverty. To me that's a wasted life.Macbeth wrote:

The point of life in my eyes is to leave your offspring better off than you were yourself.

I've heard the greatest joy is not having kids, but having grandkids
Yes, seems to be, based on my parents. But getting there is the hard part.mtb0minime wrote:
