Reading the comics, never read comics in my life, but I have to say they are rather good. I have 1-64. And am at 10 already, only got them a couple of hours ago.
I got 1-6 hardcovers (issues 1-72) I read them in a day each, didnt put them down and I never really read comics either.  Have they introduced Michonne yet?  She's such a hardass, Tyrese is bad ass too.

Wow, I didn't know they allowed that much violence on cable TV... it's incredible so far. Love the "dead flowers" metaphor.

Was excellent. Easily better than most zombie movies... I look forward to seeing how well the rest of the series goes.

Dammit. I wish I had seen this thread before. Would've DVR'd it last night. Now I have to find a re-run...

It definitely created it's own identity pretty early on. The hospital scene was an obvious 28 days later reference and I felt like it wasn't going to go anywhere that we hadn't seen before, but it really does. The part with the black guy crying about his wife and not being able to shoot her was really powerful. Same with the girl with no legs that Rick goes back to find. That was the first time in ANY zombie movie/game/TV show I've actually felt bad for the zombie.

It's VERY deep. Especially for a show about... well, zombies. But that's AMC for you. Home of Mad Men and Breaking Bad... two of the best shows of the past 20 years.

fuck me poseidon calling zombie tv shows 'incredibly deep'

you're really well versed in the arts and pathos, aren't you

is mad men also 'deep'? in the way it meanders around, takes 15 episodes to go anywhere and only has one good scene per season?

rofl.

like you've watched all the tv series attentively and critically of the last 20 years, right?

just like your statement is so qualified

poseidon you're the sort of guy that thought Inception was a deep philosophical enquiry into ontology

thought so

p.s. I thought Inception was solid but incredibly overrated.

poseidon you're the sort of guy that
lol, thanks for telling me the type of person I am without even knowing my review of the movie! takes a literature major to do that

right and there's nothing over-rating about saying mad men is the best show in 20 years

you've been watching tv in a cognizant fashion for no more than 15 years

critically and with a refined taste for no more than 5 years

but of course your comments aren't 'over-rated'

also calling a zombie tv series 'incredibly deep' isn't over-rating it, is it

i'll edge along my aristotle and plato on the mantle-piece for my series 1 DVD

jesus christ you are a fucking moron

poseidon you're doing a foundation year in criminal law... not even a full law degree... at a shit uni

you can really save yourself the trouble of recycling the "lol, literature major!" insult... in every thread.

do i need to watch the show to know it's not 'incredibly deep'? i wouldn't even say the wire or mad men is 'incredibly deep'.

it's a fucking TELEVISION DRAMA. sorry if i don't follow your line that AMC isn't broadcasting top-rate intellectualism into cable-homes

damn you know what poseidon you have really rebutted my comments about a zombie tv series not being 'incredibly deep' by repeating the exact same post 5 times in a row. is this how you out-argue your broskis at the pace university debating society? tough gig
