As much as I'd hate having to wait for another delievery, I think I'd return something that had a broken seal...

It was bought pre-overclocked, though, right? So I guess that makes sense for the seals to be broken.

Maybe they just forgot

it was all pre-overclocked... from overclockers

normally had a great service from them in the past

i ordered it all at 3:30pm yesterday and it came today at 11:00am, and it was meant to be pre-OC'd, so...

so my akasa nero s doesn't fit the gigabyte p55 motherboard i bought

the underneath-mounting bracket does not line up with the mobo screwholes...

even though it says it fits LGA1156... it doesnt

or rather, it seems as though the screws (that go with the spring-coils) aren't long enough to make contact with the back plate

I always check compatibility list first. Each manufacturer I dealt with has it. Declared to support a certain socket doesn't mean it works with all mobos. Selecting the right heatsink for a CPU is, personally, my biggest challenge.

Some mobo's backplate needs to be removed in order for the CPU heatsink to fit
