Hmm I'm not to up the whole BSOD issues. But have you got all latest drivers? Also maybe run memtest and OCCT to see if it detects any issues. Before you resort to a reformat you could also try a "windows repair" using your windows disc.

windows update frequently thinks newer versions of released drivers are better, and applies them as part of the updates.  you should completely remove and reinstall the driver for your vid card, using the version you initially installed.  never let windows update touch any driver files.
