well i was tetering on teh edge when i activated Archimides II and killed all NCR then got shunned.... so i reloaded and then re-routed power to teh strip and we're good. Im working on the ambassadors quest to the boomers right now.

shoudlve kept archimedes coz that NCR faction damage would go away anyway. you can buy the targeting tool for it from the black kid in freeside.

You don't even have to talk to house.. Just tell the terminal on the wall to open the hidden door and then the next terminal to unlock the elevator...

You can easily tank the 3-4 shots you take from the securitrons during the short run between them...

I distributed power evenly to everyone...
My char. is a +karma and NCR ally, yet I think something as basic as electricity should be handed out evenly...

The Unique Plasma Rifle is pretty good, it's not the most powerfull, but ammo is in great supply...

Personally I prefer the unique sniper, the All-American or the hunting rifle..
But the sniper breaks too fast, assault rifle ammo is hard to find and I can't find a scope for my hunting rifle

All these together kinda leaves me with my Plasmo'

Where is a good merchant to purchase weapons? Does a merchants ammo stock replenish after you buy them out?

Im level 13/4? and the best weapon I have is the plasma rifle and the .44.. tis sad.

I got the combat armor, but when i switch to weapons it doesnt offer shit. I think the highest it goes is the varmit rifle or the service rifle... what about ammo? does vendor ammo replensih?

So this thread seems pretty active given the small population of BF2s these days...how would you guys rank this game compared to Fallout 3?

About as good? Better? Worse? (I don't trust game "reviewers" these days, and don't want to sift through 26 pages of posts here)

I love RPGs, love the Fallout universe, etc., but I hesitate to spend $50 on a brand new game that lacks multiplayer unless it's truly amazing.
