why don't you just play PR then?
EE (hats
claymores are set by trip wires if you know where the wires are you dont trip them..Perv3rt wrote:
Kind of ridiculous that even if you know where they are that they don't detonate, if you are going for realism. If I alert my team where I am going to throw a grenade, then it shouldn't hurt them, right? If I spot an enemy and you run in front of me while I am shooting at him then my bullets shouldn't hurt you. Just saying either run with the realism settings or don't...
Actually. Mines in BF2 have red skulls above them to indicate that a friendly explosive is there. Therefore your teammates automatically know where they are just like 'in real life' thus by that logic you should put on friendly fire on mines.LostCause1979 wrote:
Yeah i play mainly i.o. and in real life your own people should be alerted about clay more positions. If you know where there located you wont hit them. Kinda ridiculous that you know where your team clays are but they still kill you.Perv3rt wrote:
What happened to the realism? You go by a claymore in real life and it will go off. Oh wait, I just looked at your stats. Good lord! 10,510 claymore kills?
I am guessing the server is IO? I looked at your stats & you have very little vehicle time for being a bird. Actually you would be a general if you had the vehicle awards.

i know pr is terrible. I'm just saying, that if your main point is "ReAlIZMsZ!!11!!!!one!!!!!" then making shitty rules for regular bf2, especially inconsistant shitty rules can;t be any worse that walk simulator prPerv3rt wrote:

You could always change the settings to have friendly mine fire on but with a dialed down damage meter. The red skull on top of a mine should be enough of an indicator that there is a friendly mine around. Just because you know there is a claymore around doesn't mean that it won't detonate in real life if you go right by it. Just saying if you want to have realistic settings, then keep it consistent. However, I think this may be like beating a dead horse as 17% of your kills are by claymores

Were still new so we have only had a close to full server once..we usually have about 8 people a night on nightly basis once we get going ,we have been sitting with 5 players most days for a bit thats why were looking for more to get in and help get it going so more will join..tuckergustav wrote:
I have to reinstall. How often do you get a decent turnout on your server? and what nights do you usually get hopping?
Btw...the more you respond to the complainers the more they come back for more...you came and posted your rules and they have a right to comment on them...just try not to get so defensive about it.
Once I reinstall I will have to stop in.
What exactly is realistic about video games? When I was in Iraq, if I were killed, I wouldn't respawn 15 seconds later. People who put rules in place to make games more 'realistic' are fucking retarded.LostCause1979 wrote:
yeah no hop for the people who want to keep what little realizm the game has in it left. Hopping is for the kids who have no military expeirance and play it as a game and dont understand any realizm. Anyone who is or were in the military understand you dont hop around like an idiot in front of someone shooting you. So any idiot that wants to hop dont got to our server its for the more mature older adult player who wants some realism in their game play. I understand the game lacks reality in the fact you can blow someone up with a rocket 4 feet away and you your self not get hurt but the reality thats within the player control (HOPPING) is avoidable and will be on our server. So if you are a hopper and dont like that kind of game play stay away and shut your trap its not for you, this server is for the people who dont like the hopping idiots bouncing around like fairies everywhere.
you*re damn straight I won;t be playing there.LostCause1979 wrote:
If you dont like the rules dont play there its really not that complicated, what seems like shitty rules to you are liked by many many others, so all your posts talking trash are nothing more then ignorant nonsense since you will not be playing there anyways. So keep it simple quit posting and go away, those who like this kind of server join a game or 2 the rest dont waste your time posting .
In maps like karkand the actions really fast paced and you can easily miss a single claymore and step on it. In a quiet area with no emeies it's easier to spot claymores by the red skullcause your not rushing through at top speed.Perv3rt wrote:
You are right Lostcause, I probably won't play there. I don't play IO too often, only when I get hit up by someone on XFire that wants to play IO. However, when I go to an IO server by my own choosing, I like to play with friendly mines ON. If your team is too retarded to avoid the red skull on a claymore, then they deserve to die too.
True, but the game does provide a notification that there is a friendly mine. This is more aimed at the people that clay spam because the clays can only kill the other team. The clay should detonate 100% of the time when someone is in front of it, regardless of if they are on the same team or not. If the clay spammers got a penalty for TKing, perhaps they would stop spamming. Oh wait, they probably wouldn't...they would just go find an IO server with unrealistic settings that allow for no penalty clay spammingAcerider wrote:
