A diamond pickaxe will last 10x an iron one... (from what I reckon)
And obsidian cannot be mined by anything but a diamond pick
AND all other tools seem to wear much faster than a pickaxe...
AND your pickaxe is what you will use to gather materials for your other tools & stuff

Dont worry guys... I need to mine like a gazillion rock, redstone and iron to get 1-6 diamonds...
