I guess democrats aren't running on their record this year.

Did Fox do this?

Sorry, but the left is creating the " hoopla " Fox just said " hoopla is being created ~ Do you think it's a big deal ? " If you want to weigh in on a subject you might have to look into it, Not follow the Lyrics of the Big Herd.

I just see a re-en actor. We have tons of Civil War  re-enactments around here. Why - I have no Idea ? It is not something I would do. Seems nerdy and they never reproduce the lean look the WWII soldier had. Everyone is to beefy.

My mom went to a WWII re-enactment in PA. Her husband is a WWII Vet. My mother said everyone wants to play the Germans because they have cooler equipment.

People are letting the dems deflect. You are an enabler. Its funny because we are not supposed to ask people to show proof of citizenship, yet they are hounding a GOP candidate because her nanny was illegal.  People are letting the dems deflect. You are an enabler.

I'm not enabling anything. I'm saying that gay marriage in California should not be a national issue. It's an issue localized to California. The mosque should not be a national issue, it's an issue localized to New York City. What Obama's religion is is irrelevant period.

You're the one enabling the idiots to steer the conversation to petty issues that don't mean a damn thing in the grand scheme of things. They should be talking about their positions on free trade and taxation, not ridiculous moral stances on shit that doesn't concern them.

I would argue the lunacy of making a big deal out of a person's re-enactment hobbies is on the same level of pettiness as people making a big deal out of Obama having a Muslim father.

Basically, the guy likes to dress up for fun.  Big deal.

Obama was raised in a multi-ethnic family that included Islam.  Big deal again.

Had Obama wore this dazzling outfit I could see the similarities with this case.

Oh I agree.  There are some things that are politically stupid that are still perfectly legal.

Granted, if a guy essentially cosplays as a Nazi, that doesn't have any bearing on whether or not I'll vote for him.  I just look at his policies, record, and funding sources, but I realize I'm not the average voter.

A liberal who doesn't look further into the issue and doesnt research why this guy dresses up as a nazi is the average voter. People see something, assume the worst, and dont do their research.

The average voter period doesn't do enough research.  Granted the average eligible voter doesn't vote.

lol...  It depends on what inspires this guy's interest in re-enactments.  If he's just a history buff, that's fine.  If he's a Nazi sympathizer, that's a whole other ballgame.

I'm not a fan of his church either.  Still, I don't see his policy stances as resembling the fanaticism of Wright.

If anything, I almost get the impression that Obama was just part of that church for political reasons.  Outside of Chicago, that church is a liability, but inside Chicago, it's connected.

For all we know, Obama might be an agnostic.  And if he is...  that's a good thing in my book.

Well, if nothing else, he defies the obese American stereotype.  Granted, Bush was pretty fit as well.

Sad as it seems you have to be somewhat easy on the eyes to get elected. *
Anyone who listened to the NIXON - KENNEDY debate on the radio thought Nixon destroyed Kennedy. Anyone who watched on TV said Kennedy did slightly better.

* there are exceptions at lower levels and corruption will circumvent this rule ( IE hillary and obama's senate seats )

PS Turquoise,

For the record you are an educated, level headed gentlemen who I respect. You are one of a dwindling few who still bring credibility and progress to these forums.
