Throwing grenades into a residential home in the circumstances of Afghanistan is clearly inappropriate, if they did wrong they should face the consequences.

It was a night time raid, even then the article was not very specific. I would have to see the official report/debrief but thats probably classified. So unless there is documented evidence of them going "hey you know what would be fun? Chuck grenades into random houses", I would have to go with the standard, war is hell/shit happens.
