i dont cuz i think it stupid.  just another way to manipulate people.  simplify it.
How the fuck is it manipulation?
why sell something at 1.42 when you can just do it at 1.50?
Why would you complain about saving $0.08 off of a purchase?

now get all the toll booths, vending machines, etc to accept that.  then get rid of the fees the card companies charge retailers for it.

Many vending machines do take credit/debit cards, at least around here, and tolls can be paid with EZ-Pass.

So what? If you don't want the stuff, dump it in a donation box or tip jar.

It would make perfect sense. All you have to do is round to the nearest 5c or 10c.
Instant 5-10% inflation. I'm down!
5-10% inflation? What kind of insane math is that?
Well apparently everything in the US costs 9 cents, and everyone only ever buys one item at a time.

Anyone find it humourous that at the `99 Cent Store` they sell stuff at $0.9999 / each?

It still has a gate?

C'mon man, they charge us while we're doing 100.

New York has gates. New Jersey does not.

I use those all the time in construction because that's what everything here gets measured in and is also what everything here seems to be cut in. But in my opinion, a 10-base system wins over that any day.

You'll see metric if you're working with bolts or something. God damn toolboxes in the US are twice as heavy because they include both kinds of sockets. But with coins, if I'm not mistaken the mints all measure by metric.
Imperial is not as accurate as metric can be in construction. Again, the degree of accuracy depend on what you are building.

And yeah, toolboxes are fucking heavy due to the Imperial/Metric system being mixed.
