I wonder if there were study of FPS players vs Civ4, Total war, and other real simulation players in relation to long term planning, and critical thinking who would win.

FPS has taught me many things. Mostly it's to go Sniper.

The sims was fucking badass, it taught me you need to be rested, hygenic, fed, satisfied with life etc if you want a promotion.

Playing FPS' has just made me shout BOOM! Headshot from time to time although you do run faster with a knife, I've tested it and it's true.

Also, if you are going to jump from the top of a building / cliff.. you will be ok as long as you land on your feet in some knee-high water... a puddle will work but a fountain is preferred...

But tbh I will take anything to balance out all those "HURR DURR GAMING CAUSES VIOLENCE!!! DERP"

Not exactly, there is a difference between travelling virtually between London and New York, and playing games like Lock On or IL2 with maximum realism enabled, your abilities are more used in the latter, but there are just games and won't help you if you consider joining the air force or a flight school.

This even works better with crappy, buggy FPS games, because your brain needs additional time to work around the annoying, illogical behavior of the game and has to adapt to all the bugs and glitches.

Having said that, it now all makes sense that all the pro-players and league players complain so much whenever a new patch fixes something.
