AWESOME! I really enjoyed the Beta. It´s really oldschool NfS arcade racing. Nothing to write home about, but very entertaining for what it is.

Yeah I downloaded the game 2 days ago after reading its now completely free but I can't set up my character in game-everything is greyed out. Dunno what to do

I´m still gonna play. Liked the Beta, so with more things to do, even better. I guess they keep the Beta tag, in case they decide to charge something later on and to cover any bugs

@Sup: In the Beta, it could take up to 5 minutes and more until you could "use" the menu to create characters and such, despite being able to zoom around and twist the car. Have you tried waiting some time?

afaik, the beta has always been a "free to play until level 10", and once you reach level 10 you have to buy the game to keep playing. Now they've removed the level 10 limit, but it seems they've forgotten to remove the beta tag from the name.

It seems the Beta tag is still deserved though. Been trying to log in for an hour now, "Servers are too busy".
One time it asked me to accept the EULA and I was like but then it crashed lol

Ya I've been getting that too. The times I have managed to play today it has been horrendously laggy, unplayable. Not much to do in a racing game when it is this laggy.

Yes definately. For free, its good fun.

I managed to play a few SIngleplayer rounds yesterday. It seems the general lag has decreased (while free roaming and in sp racing) but the graphics seem to be a bit worse than in the Beta too. Not a biggy though.
I still wasn´t able to get into a MP game. Even after waiting for 5 minutes It still didn´t connect me into a lobby. At least you can cancel those actions anytime now. The Beta forced you to sit there for eternity or Taskmanager-out.
Serverload and capacity seem to be the big problem with this game still.

It's a moderately fun game. I imagine it would be worse if I wasn't on super-fast university internet, though. I'm also glad that above say level 5 people generally avoid trying to ram each other out of the race (or at least do so with less vigor). Although I can imagine my W/L will be pretty low unless I do millions of single player races, which really isn't fun. I look forward to playing some more.
