Theres another vid of Gibbs on Fox and Friends with Gretchen Wilson ( can't find it ) ..... she asks him a question and instead of just answering it with a simple Yes, No, not sure .... he goes on and says " This is the second time you've asked that question " ... she responds with " No, this is the first, could you please answer the question " .. his resonses " Now its the third time, how many times you want to ask me the same question " ... hers " Press Secetary Gibbs, I only asked it once but got no answer on it " ...... his " gretchen you're now on your 4th or 5th time asking me the same question "

you know what cracks me up about the "Obama, Pelosi and Reid are destroying America!" crowd, if you were to ask them who the last few majority leaders in the house and senate, I bet 99 times out of 100 they would have no clue.

when things aren't going his way or gets backed into a corner he'll lash out treating the reporters like kids ...... the hand thing he did because he was making fun of palin was just being an asshole

Senate is different thought the President of the Senate is the VP sooo if the average moron can't remember that.... But the leader of the Majority party takes the reigns/runs the agenda and I can only remember Lott and Daschel.

Oh Gibbs is a condescending, arrogant windbag. He fits in perfectly with the current administration. He can't give a straight answer, if he even bothers to answer at all, never get's back to reporters when he says he will and appears to be a general douche in general. I wish my work would permit his level of professionalism.

Yes, he's an asshole but let's take it one step further and call him an incompetent asshole. I don't care what political party you belong to, the last thing you should do is insult or talk down to the press. It makes you, your party, and your boss look bad. What amazes me is the lack of a backlash or outcry against him considering he seems to do it constantly.

I think Gibbs definitely has a douchebag demeanor, but if his predecessors are any indication, that would appear to be part of the job description...

As for controlled town hall meetings.... Honestly, who actually thinks ANY administration would have a completely open forum for questions? I realize there's some hypocrisy involved with the current administration's rhetoric about openness, but I never bought into their rhetoric to begin with.

I mostly supported Obama just because Palin scared the shit out of me.

you have to be an asshole to deal with the press pushing the limits, everyday.

You don't have to be. I've seen first hand some handle that position with elegance -though it was on the state level, press corps of about 15. I would fail at that job as I lack the patience -so I've respect one who can tactful and accurately answer reporters, keeping a working relationship with journalists -regardless of the situation. I respect a good press secretary. Flip it and I've had journalists flat tell me they write op-ed slanted 'news'. I think she and some other reporters consider themselves another cog in the public policy sausage grinder. And she's right.

This guys got a press room press room and protocol. On the national stage, he should know how to properly field these questions so that a reporter can immediately put his or her spin on it .

At the same time you would expect your boss to be able to answer the harder questions posed rather than go on 'the view'.
