I log in and play the game and everythings normal. until the games done and we switch maps and the it goes to login screen and says"error reading from the server".Ive had this error for 3 days and dont know y and its after every game. so annoying. PLZ HELP.

Everyone's getting this problem, go on the EA forums every thread is about error reading from server and no unlocks. It's been like it for a few days and still not fixed hope it's fixed soon.
I get booted back to the login screen every time I press escape or when the round ends. You can't log back in either it will freeze when a map loads saying "optimizing shaders"
You have to exit the game then start it again for it to work. Something to do with the main servers

The problem you are getting where it says "error reading from server" - everyone is getting it
On Wednesday night in the U.S. (25 Aug), GameSpy moved their data center which affected the BF2 and 2142 servers that service the points system and weapons and other stuff. They said it would only be a 6-hour outage, but obviously they had problems. No one that I know of was accruing points, none of the weapon unlocks were unlocked, none of the ranked servers were reachable, etc. As they fixed the issues, things began to work one-by-one. The servers began filling in the multiplayer list, then the weapons were unlocked. I didn't see my points counting until Sunday. There was still a problem as of last night (Sunday night) that about half the time, I would lose connection with the server at the end of the round. Here's the link to the EA thread that luckily a GameSpy employee started to notify us.

Unfortunately, you have to wade through 10 pages of rants to find solid info. The entries from JabronieMan are the official unofficial updates on their progress. Hope this clears up this kludge.
P.S. I have also noticed that the stats sites like this one and BF2Stats are not updating, but that may be a problem with those sites needing to point to a new IP or something.
