you can revere your own cultural heroes, just as im sure romania does theirs, but it doesn't mean they're internationally important.
when you build a bigger picture of the artistic trends, regardless of country-of-origin, you soon learn that your own 'heroes' were just copying on to already-existing continental trends, anyway.

Anyway, it's pretty obvious you like and know about literature, but you've studied it.
You went to a private school, great, I could have gone if my parents wanted me to. It turned out I didn't need to to get the grades to go to any university I wanted.
