I havent played a new computer game since BF2 came out. My computer was never good enough for newer games. Anyways, I now have a new PC and would love to buy a new game. I'd like a FPS that has the awesome graphics. My PC is a i920 2.8ghz, 6gb tri-channel ram, Radeon 5770 HD.

I'm pretty sure that this can handle most new games, so i'd like something that pushed its boundaries.

I guess you could start with Battlefield Bad Company 2. Its got some neato DX11 shadows.

But if you want an FPS, BFBC 2 is your best best.

Take whatever BC2 has with a grain of salt. The graphics are superior to BF2, but the gameplay is not. If you don't mind digital copies of games, keep an eye out for Steam sales and metascores.

I recommend CoD: MW2 and BC2 (I don't care much for them, but most people I encounter love the things), Call of Juarez 2 and Just Cause 2. If you're a strategy gamer at all, Starcraft 2 is great. It won't push your comp to the limits, but it's well balanced. There's some good mods for ARMA 2 if you can make it past control configuration. Dead Space is kind of fun, and Mirror's Edge has some epic vertigo moments. Also check out Mafia 2.

Counterstrike Source got a huge update recently, and the Left 4 Dead series, Portal and Team Fortress 2 are good.

So yeah...

BC2 and Orange Box to start with.

If you like strategy games, get Rome, Medieval II, or Empire Total war.

I guess you can try Borderlands or the STALKER series. Plenty of mods for the STALKER games too.
