So `Tax Freedom Day` this year came on August 19, 2010 (231 days).  For tax year 2008 we worked til July 16 (197 days).

Perhaps with the tax increases that are coming at the first of next year we'll be able to celebrate `Tax Freedom Day` in September.

I might've spent it trying to figure out wtf Tas Freedom Day was if:

1) I wasn't at work and;
2) Knew it even existed.

`Tax Freedom Day` is the average American's fractional-tax-liability day of the year you stop paying taxes to the government and start paying yourself.

So if you paid 50% taxes then it would be 365/2 = 182.5 days into the year, or July 2nd.
