Lol Pubic that mouse is OLD-SKOOL! But you know what, it serves everything I need from a mouse, a scroll wheel and five buttons.

Just been googling and came across the Genius NetScroll G500 and you can put your own weights in it, in the forms of coins like 2 pence pieces! That or it's a place to keep your spare change.

Never heard of this 'angle snapping' either. Also, what is the point in having 5700dpi, really don't get this. I don't even use the full 1800dpi on my Mx518 atm.
1600 dpi 518 does not has, and also it's called drift control you bitchy ninnies, and it's not just in quick snaps.

MX518 = 1800 dpi
You must be too young to remember a time when the 518 was 1600 DPI.

Me too.  I also have the Red 1800 dpi one, but I keep going back to my trusty "bumpy" 1600 dpi one.  I recently got a G500, so we'll see if it'll replace the MX518.  Coming from the MX518, the G9/9X sucks.  Tracking goes twitchy sometimes on the G9, where on the MX518, I've never had it falter.

Let me know how the G500 works out for you. Might buy that one then, because my Mx518 is starting to break down ever more often.

G500 $30 at Newegg after $20 Rebate.

Just basic testing this weekend.  RPG on gaming laptop only.  I won't get to test it on primary gaming desktop PC for BC2 for awhile.

Too bad I can't order from Newegg, so it will cost me the full €60. Fuck my country.

Razer Imperator was my replacement, Logitech mice feel like fucking sandpaper now so no chance I'd keep a g500.  Slightly smaller but I still wish i had a spare.

for small hands Diamondback (3G) is the best high sens mouse you can get. For bigger hands the MX series from Logitech will do.

Logitech Wingman = best mouse evar! Oh how I miss that thing.

No but seriously, in times recent enough for me to remember I've had a Copperhead and a Diamondback 3G (I trashed my Copperhead so got the 3G as a cheapo replacement) the Diamondback was poor in comparison, the software with it is a bag of shit compared to what you get with the Copperhead and the tracking is noticeably worse, it's a decent mouse and perfectly usable but it really isn't as good as the Copperhead.

My bros G7 (wireless G5 basically) was lovely too, very good tracking, I'd say possibly better than my Copperhead but not by a lot but, like most Logi mice, they seem to fit bigger hands better and I'm a skinny bastard so it wasn't all that comfortable

Can't suggest much from the current range, couple of friends have a Razer Mamba and Imperator, not use either, Mamba got a big thumbs up but aparently the software for the Imperator is shite, lacks loads of the options that the Copperhead software used to have.

tl;dr: My choice for a cheap mouse = Copperhead

I didn't notice any difference between Diamondback 3G and Copperhead apart from Copperhead being slightly bigger.

Mx518 - if you like touching a sticky mouse everyday.

G500 - if you're smart.

Just my 2 cents. Don't hate.
