hahahahahhe asserted that 18th-century Scots – smarting from the loss of independence – turned ‘to discover and appreciate their native literature. Unfortunately, when they looked for it, they could not find it. There was none.’

Yeah but "still drunk" at 3pm: lol
oi, icculus you watching the Liverpool Arsenal game in half an hour?
E: innit lol, I normally sober up at about 11, not "properly" drunk, but struggle to keep my balance when I first wake up and find most things funny.
That's only if it's been a heavy night/drinking til 6 ish

I was out with my girl friends, they're all awesome and pretty sure they think I'm gay, so they were buying me drinks. Went out with £2.75, enough for one pint, and came home blootered. (Y)

He didn't say he was properly drunk, just having trouble reading (lulz). I've never felt drunk when waking up, though. And certainly not at 3pm. Normally either feel fine or like shit.Surgeons wrote:

You're probably just tired.
Heavy drinking towards 5/6am = sleep for a very long time afterwards. Wake up in time for dinner.Surgeons wrote:

How is it considered a good night when your friends are convinced you're gay? Best case scenario, they won't make you leave the room when they try on tops.
EDIT: And I'm pretty sure that only happens in movies.

i think only about 15% of people go to universityUzique wrote:

Must be a lot more than that, at least nowadays. Seemed like near enough everyone went to university, from my school. If not to university, then to a college or maybe to do an apprenticeship somewhere. Small minority that went straight into the working world.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

And there were a really small amount of people that left school at 16, 80-90% of people stayed on for 6th form.
A lot higher percentage than that in the uk now.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:
