BF2S Forums Couple of questions about AWARDS. UBAR makers would know the answers.

i know that i got over 1500 kills on them, but is it 12 kills for the vet badge? i have gotten up to 25 kills iar on it after the time ticked over, and nothing.

The reason I posted into this thread is that, as far as I can see, I have met the 40 command points in a round requirement three times (on ranked servers) and yet still have not been awarded the BASIC badge.

In all three occasions I was commander for the whole map from start to end, though I did repair my own arty guns several times in one map (rather than waste a supply crate so far from the fighting front). On another occasion I was getting straffed by a couple of choppers, so jumped into an IGLA to take them out before returning to my command screen. I wondered if the points gained this way had "watered down" my command points in some way.

From all the replies here I see that the vast majority agree with my understanding on how gaining command points works, and what the requirement is for BASIC command badge.

The fact that I have NOT been awarded that basic badge as yet led me to believe that I must have been mistaken in my understanding of the scoring system. It seems my understanding of the scoring system is correct and yet I am still puzzled as to what I have to do to get the basic badge awarded, otherwise I would already have it.

Guess I'm just unlucky, and the "basic command badge" data has gone the way of several other awards and ribbons I think I should have gained and have not been awarded.

read the UBAR again... u also need 15h in ground defense (bunch of time!!!)

YOU NEED TO HAVE ALL THOSE KILLS with the ground defense stuff alone...

just to clarify i didnt read all these but on that commander bade, when you get kills as the commander those points DO NOT count towards your command points.. nor do any of the team points you accuire in that round they must all come from your team gaining checkpoints....
