That actually has a decent cooling system, but I prefer the single slot cooling, cools the PCB and other components a little better.

Yeah the specs are there, it wouldn't be a 9800gt otherwise. But the PCB and components are from toybox compared to any of the launch time models.

Yeah. And very doubtful it will OC much over stock clocks.

As cheap way of getting rid of G92 chips left over as possible.

Not sure about performance increase but from what I've seen, that seems to be the card of choice for PhysX.

Thinking of doing a new build for this summer/fall.

I only really play games once every few months, but when I do I'd like to be able to actually play them. Would a 260 be okay? Its like ~$100 cheaper. I'm considering a SSD, not quite convinced yet though. Dont especially need to overclock either, but would still prefer having an aftermarket cooler, whats a good one for the 930?

E: Just don't get a GF100 chip.. They're shite. GF104 is much more efficient, lower temperatures, lower PSU requirements, etc etc etc.

Two of them almost match a 5970 in some cases.

Well its not like I'm ever going to be playing a game at that resolution, they dont go anywhere close to that. My 8800GTS 320MB is powering it right now and can do anything I need (I havent tried playing games since I got the monitor though).

I wouldnt actually need two would I? I dont want to deal with SLi or Crossfire.

How does your monitor look under native resolution?

I'd say two if you wanna run at native res, only one if you don't mind running 1920x or 1680x.

Hmm, I guess I could stretch to 5870 1GB if I needed to. Would that make a significant impact? Any game will be at 1920x, so would I really get that much more out of a 5870 vs 270 vs 260
