Goddamn yesterday was fun! As said above, we went riding a hill-kart track about a 70 mile drive away. The track is 420m long and is built on a ski-slope, the tarmac is amazing and the track is narrow and winding. An extension is planned to increase the track to almost a kilometre. Speeds aren't high, but then again, it's a quite technical course in which basically every corner needs to be drifted. I managed to wipe out maybe 7 times, and do two clean runs from top to bottom (first time I managed to do that). I only sprained my left calf, which is way less than what I can say about some of the other 10 dudes on the sesh yesterday. E.g. bleeding ass-cheeks are gnarly. I nowadays duct-tape my butt pre-emptively.

Longboarding was actually featured in the news here the other day. It's becoming more and more popular among highschool/college students. It's currently illegal to ride on roads so there's a newly formed group trying to pressure the government into making it legal.

I tried it once. Didn't know you're supposed to turn to control your speed so I just went straight down the hill. Good fun. Snowboarding is a safer way to get that speed fix though.

Long boarding is hella sick, just bought my first board a couple months ago. The hills here in Alaska are pretty sick, but nothing like in the OP. Can't wait til I get to phoenix, can do that shit 24/7.
