I think we discussed character enough.

The problem is you don't like the outcome so you want to continue discussing it by using the same points.

Now, lets go on.

Prove to me that Palin deserves to be compared with the best leaders in US history, as that is the current topic you wish to discuss.
LOL I wouldn't mind the outcome if you didn't insiust character was the same thing as image. they are not, so no I am not going to let you press that.

LMAO!! given that MLK is a liar a cheater, an adulterer, a womanizer as plagiarizer and a thief and Palin is not how about you explain to me how MLK is the better roll model for any leaders or followers? side note, Palin has not been proven to be any of those, so who has the moral high ground here?
It's not up to me to repeat the majority opinion.  It's up to you to definitively prove that Palin is better.

Redirecting this to me isn't going to improve the argument.

Try again

The topic:
Palin deserves to be compared with the best leaders in US history.

Is that NOT what you are saying as historians cite MLK was one of the most important leaders in US history?
Last time, Palin was only introduced into this discussion due to the discrepancy of Dilberts opinion that MLK deserves privacy while Palin does not. After we agree that they are both pubic figures.

You are the ones that decided to steer the argument toward their "accomplishments" rather than address that double standard on privacy. So I made that argument. and yes, given 2 people that have done the same things, rallied huge crowds. I will take the one who was not a liar and a cheater and a thief. How about you address MLK's character and proven lack of scruples and moral code and leave the civil rights out of it?

Your attitude that "hiring someone you know", is a far greater moral crime than cheating or stealing is laughable and extremely desperate.  LOL Any port in a storm I guess. Ohhhhhhhhh don't forget that she wrote on her hands!! Extremely indefensible.

What's this?  a dismissal?  Oh my!  I thought that was what everyone else did.

I've been recommended to people but ultimately hired on my merits, not just the other person's word.  Look up nepotism if you're confused on the difference.
lol, don't think I dismissed shit, what I did do was compare. How about you do the same thing  and see if you can make those comparisons in the real word and not go off on a tangent about how hiring someone you know is theft.

LMAO!! THis is your nepotism charge?   http://usconservatives.about.com/od/def … inFAQ4.htm

Yeah boy, what an evil woman.

If I ever had an argumetnthat desparate, I would give up really.

MLK's moral fiber has been torn. His character is that of a liar and a cheater for most of his adult life. His image is a false image. Deal with it.

That is your statement.  Defend it.

As far as "hiring someone you know" - wtf?  I never posted anything about nepotism.  Or writing on her hands.

My current point is: I believe a shitty half-term governor of Alaska isn't an example of a great American leader.  BUT YOU DO.

I compare 2 people who rally crowds, 2 people who are accomplished authors, 2 people who give speeches. That is where it ends. Now the hard part. One was a governor, a mayor and a public servant. the other was a preacher and not much more. 1 is a proven liar adulterer, plagerizer, the other is not. Now how can you seriously say MLK is more accomplished than Palin? I mean other than you like MLK better.

the civl rights movement was happening before MLK was even heard of, and it continued after he died. He rode the wave he was not the wave.

You are absolutely right.  I need to do some research.

I will get in my car and drive down "Martin Luther King Blvd" to the "Martin Luther King Library" and ask the librarian to find the "Sarah Palin Section" in the library.  I'm pretty sure it's in the "Martin Luther King Wing" of the "Martin Luther King Library".

King was awarded at least fifty honorary degrees from colleges and universities in the U.S. and elsewhere.[197][198] Besides winning the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize, in 1965 King was awarded the American Liberties Medallion by the American Jewish Committee for his "exceptional advancement of the principles of human liberty".[198][199] Reverend King said in his acceptance remarks, "Freedom is one thing. You have it all or you are not free".[200] King was also awarded the Pacem in Terris Award, named after a 1963 encyclical letter by Pope John XXIII calling for all people to strive for peace.[201]

In 1966, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America awarded King the Margaret Sanger Award for "his courageous resistance to bigotry and his lifelong dedication to the advancement of social justice and human dignity."[202] King was posthumously awarded the Marcus Garvey Prize for Human Rights by Jamaica in 1968.[197]

In 1971, King was posthumously awarded the Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for his Why I Oppose the War in Vietnam.[203] Six years later, the Presidential Medal of Freedom was awarded to King by Jimmy Carter.[204] King and his wife were also awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 2004.[205]

King was second in Gallup's List of Widely Admired People in the 20th century.[206] In 1963 King was named Time Person of the Year and in 2000, King was voted sixth in the Person of the Century poll by the same magazine.[207] King was elected third in the Greatest American contest conducted by the Discovery Channel and AOL.[208]

More than 730 cities in the United States have streets named after King.[209] King County, Washington rededicated its name in his honor in 1986, and changed its logo to an image of his face in 2007.[210] The city government center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is named in honor of King.[211] King is remembered as a martyr by the Episcopal Church in the United States of America (feast day April 4)[1][212] and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (feast day January 15).[213]

In 2002, scholar Molefi Kete Asante listed Martin Luther King, Jr. on his list of 100 Greatest African Americans.[214]

Since you didn't bother to answer the question, I'm going to press it again.  Historians state MLK is one of the most important figures in US history.  MLK is compared with Lincoln on occasion.  Should be easy for you to compare Palin to Lincoln, since Palin is better than MLK according to you...right?

lol...DO you think he would have been awarded those "honorary" (IE did not earn) degrees if they knew he was an academic CHEAT and plagiarizer?

Obama and Yasser Arafat and Al Gore were also awarded Nobel peace prizes....enough said

Hitler was also Time magazine man of year 1939...enough said.

The feds threatened to withhold federal funding if the states did not name some shit after MLK.....enough said.

So here ya have it, MLK's honorary degrees based on lies, awards based on false image, and buildings androads named after him based on extortion.  What a hero......What else ya got?

I already asked you to limk me to historians comparing MLK and Lincoln, who by the way, didn't give a flying fuck about slavery. Do some reading

I give that a two out of ten.

You seem to be the only one who gives a shit about honorary degrees.  Aka, who cares if they are stripped, they are honorary, no?

Nobel peace prizes: should we include the full list to make sure they all are "duds" according to you?

Hmmm....I wonder why they would want anything named after MLK.  Conspiracy?  Yeah right.

And you obviously know NOTHING about what he did.

You are in the minority and need to support your argument in full.  The issue isn't what's wrong with MLK, the issue according to you, is that Sarah Palin should be compared with the best leaders in the United States....why?  Because MLK is compared with the best the US has to offer.  Oh, and it's not me comparing MLK to Lincoln, etc, its actual historians...

SUPPORT YOUR ARGUMENT.  YOU HAVE A MINORITY OPINION.

Look Pug, the issue has never been Sarah Palin, she only entered the discussion to show a discrepency in Dilberts opinion that MLK somehow deserves privacy as a public figure while Palin didn't. Palin was the example because she was the one discussed where he said she did not deserve privacy. YOU and others dragged her accomplishments into this.

lol I guess so, who gives a fuck about an honorary degree? It is like being awarded the position of honary astronaugt, yet your ass still don't go into space.

Lets just say the nobel peace price is political more than anything else. shall we?

lol, if you don't believe the feds threatened to with hold federal funding to states that do not name shit after MLK, knock yourself out. Conspiricy? NO, Fact yes.

Good God, the issue regarding Palin was never an accomplishment contest, it was a inconsistency on privacy for public figures argument. Again read back, you are the ones that dragged accomplishment into this, I just followed and made an arguemnt that you want to dismiss Palin as unaccomplished yet MLK somehow, saved the world.
