In the past the freedom of information act has allowed us to see the guts of nefarious laws written and other dubious actions by the so called " authorities ".
Not so with ' financial reform'.
So much for transparency.
Under a little-noticed provision of the recently passed financial-reform legislation, the Securities and Exchange Commission
no longer has to comply with virtually all requests for information releases from the public, including those filed under the Freedom of Information Act.
The SEC cited the new law Tuesday in a FOIA action brought by FOX Business Network. Steven Mintz, founding partner of law firm Mintz & Gold LLC in New York, lamented what he described as “the backroom deal that was cut between Congress and the SEC to keep the SEC’s failures secret.

In gist; the liberals goad the banks into making loans to low income minorities. The banks realize that making these high risk loans to only minorities is discrimatory so they have to be fair. But see, the banks know these loans are bad so they 1) create a self insurance policy in the form of mortgage backed asset securities ( selling the junk loans to the worlds investors with triple A rating ) and 2) try to generate a crisis to end the feds telling them to write bad loans by making the majority of loans sub prime loans, even to otherwise qualified borrowers knowing that A) they will get bailed out and B) they will confiscate billions in ' distressed ' properties and make trillions reselling them.
This is criminal malfeasance and fraud, perpetuated by your congress and senate, who enriched themselves whilst casting millions into poverty and gathering more power and authority unto themselves. Such acts make a mockery of the very nature of civil discourse and law abidance and go so outside common sense, or what is right for America that the ballot seems no remedy.
Our enemies are internal more more than external and the common person should be prepared to meet force with force for self preservation.

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/In … o-you.aspxThe problem is that regulators were supposed to be doing this all along, says Richard Barrington, a personal finance expert at MoneyRates.com, who argues that federal regulators had oversight powers before the financial crisis hit.
