Mostly because the people who I know play it are literally the epitome of a stereotypical nerd. In the sort of WoW/EVE sense. And playing the same video game for 10 years strikes me as being a little obsessive.
I find it funny that there are people who spend hours a day watching other people play games and then think that the people who play games themselves are the nerds.

lol. i remember a 1v1 company of heroes game i played against a friend. he wanted to have a truce until we each had half the map. just before he got his "half" i proceeded to send my armoured cars over and kill all his soldiers and shoot down any air support. needless to say i won. he was american and i was panzer elite. good times
