sc1 LAN was how i played it, too... too young to understand the true complexity of it, or the competitive-online scene... just happy playing with friends at their house through a multi-room LAN set-up on their old, home network. dial-up days . single-player storyline was great and the challenge of whupping your friend who is in the room next door was like playing Battleships in sci-fi mode.

just to spoon fflink's wrong information/impression that the storyline isn't cinematic/epic

campaign screen after mission 1. all elements of the screen are click-able, e.g. tv starts a news-story, radio plays music etc.

AMAZING.

no, you're wrong. the only people online right now are the specially-invited pros and beta-testers. everyone online is platinum-level.

i.e. you'll lose A LOT. im seeing pros going 10-8 on their records... it's hardcore as it gets right now online.

even the installer for this game is epic

did you play in the beta competitively? if so... curb your enthusiasm and ego . i'll believe the day when i see the replay of you beating a korean-team pro.

the intro cinematic is fucking EPIC, btw. gets you so-so hyped. blizzard manage to do this to me with every single one of their games... the movies, the content itself, the finish and the overall effect is just 'wow'. really impressive and everything feels meticulously worked over and refined a great deal. you really are stepping into a complete gaming-experience when you pick up a blizzard game. fantastic.

erm couldn't say yet tbh. im actually watching pro-streams and tabbing in and out at the same time. not very far in the campaign but im just enjoying the launch hype more than anything. really good to see the pc gaming community coming together for a game-release! also there's a pro-stream going live at teamLIQUID... currently with 15,000 viewers. 15,000 very frustrated, eager and impatient gamers .

makes a lot of sense when you look at the cinematics and typically-stunning blizzard art direction...
